Convert from 30i timeline to 23.976?

Hi all,

I have been working on a 30i timeline on footage captured at 29.97 that was telecined from film shot at 24fps. This was before i knew of the benefits of working in the 23.976 environment, especially since I want to finish on a progressive-scan DVD. Even attempting to finish on an NTSC 29.97 DVD results in interlacing artifacts.... dunno why. *sigh*

I'm wondering if there's a way i can convert my project from the 30i timeline to a 23.976 timeline? Is there some way i can do this and have Avid (either Avid Express or Avid Adrenaline) do the pulldown to create progressive frames at this point in time, or is it too late?

thanks very much for your help!

Wow, thanks for the speedy response! It looks complicated, so i'm gonna print it out and try it out today. (I don't remember if i specified "matchback" when i first created my 30i project, but hopefully i did.)

Just create another project that is matcback, open the bin with the seqeunce in there. You can decompose to get to all the sources or use the Set bin display trick to show Avid created sources.
