Convergent SSD usable on BMDCC?

Sorry guys for asking here, I do not like the BMD forum too much. ;-)
Instead of buying the full version of Resolve I am thinking about the
BMDCC. Is the C-D SSD usable for the BMD Cameras? Has anybody tried
this combo?

Have an O7Q arriving this week with drives and can test the C-D SSDs out in the BMCC. Aside from functionality/speed, I'm guessing that the handles on the drives will need to be unscrewed for the SSD door on the BMCC to close (or the door left open).

I'm also curious whether the O7Q will, at some point, be able to record 4K compressed from the 6G-SDI output on the BMPC4K.

Like the above poster said, the C-D drives are standard SSDs except for the handle that C-D adds. You'd have to remove the handle before inserting into the BMCC and of course reformat the drives. I'd assume the drives are fast enough, as C-D is using top of the line SSDs for the O7Q.

As for the O7Q accepting the 4K over 6G-SDI... I was under the impression that the SDI inputs on the O7Q were 3G only, and the C-D website seems to back up that impression.

Indeed. But since the O7Q has multiple inputs and C-D has done some pretty impressive other things with it thus far, I'm simply wondering whether they have any tricks up their sleeve to take 4K from a 6G-SDI output and record it as compressed 4K. If possible, it's probably not high on their list, but would be interesting to know.

The Odyssey7Q has 3G-SDI inputs. If someone comes up with a converter device to turn one 6G into a pair of 3G streams, then we can use that to accept the signal.

Our SSDs can be used on other devices, providing they can physically fit.

thanks guys. I thinks continuously screwing off/on won't be a good idea where durability of the handles is concerned
