Hi,
i hava a problem with my Odyssey7Q. There are blue and red Stirpes appearing on the screen.

Is it the cable? I tried another one, same problem. But maybe both are not good enough...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5H0PXKfZVU At the beginnning and end of the clip (2K RAW 240fps)

If its the cable, what specific cable should I use? Thought I allready have good a one. Any link to a online shob in Germany/EU?

Edit: Anothner Sample (2K RAW 24fps)

Those definitely looked like dropouts caused by bad cabling. Are you using any right angle adapters or barrel connectors? Convergent Design makes ultra-thin and lightweight 3G-SDI cables that are available through our dealer network. But there are certainly other brands - just be sure to get a high quality 3G rated cable. There are numerous dealers who should be able to supply this to you, but as you mentioned Germany I can suggest BandPro in Munich.

Have you tried shooting the same thing on the memory card as well?

No stripes on the small Sony screen.

Hi,
I ordered 2 original cables @ http://www.innocinema.com (in switzerland) after 20 days they said they canceld my order cause I havent answer tha email that the delivering is delayed, but they sent the email not to me, they sent it themself, so they said, but thats another story. So no original cables...

Now I ordered two cables here http://www.al-kabelshop.de/shop/?bestellnr=SDI-Kabel-BNC-0050 (one is 33€ and 34€ ! ) I ask for "3G rated" "2K RAW" they said all is fine.

But I still have the stripes on the screen / in the convergent recording...Can anybody check the data if the cable are not good enough?

Sorry it in german, but maybe the Numbers and letters talk for themself..?

If you tried new cables, it might be the unit. Maybe try and contact Dan Keating. He's a busy man, but from my experience he knows a bit more than the tech support at CD and gave me great solutions that others could not.

I have a Convergent Cable, but it's way too short so I went back to the Canare Cable from FilmTools. It works just as good as the CD cable and my unit works fine, except for the screen flicker which they said will be fixed hopefully in the next firmware update.

Lets see and hope that its the cables...looks unlikely, cause they delivering for Broadcast e.g. and not selling like cheap ebay BNCs...Its hard to buy more expensive (except BandPro Munich ;) ) BUT IM in contact with "BandPRo Munich" Mitch recommend them, and they will check the data and specifics of the other brand I allready bought and they will let me know tomorrow, if they can deliver better...*fingerscrossed* -

Please contact me off list so that I can ask our service desk to issue a support ticket for this. We can properly analyze the issue in emails and decide where to go from there. If there is any defect in your Odyssey7Q we will address it directly.

Today Test with the new cables shows, its not the cables :( after buying Cables for ~200€ I had to realize that. I also tried to run the the scrren with batterie or pluged, both the same. I ask for support @ Convergent Design . hope we will find a quick solution. I keep you updated.

And I'm here.

I responded privately, but perhaps you didn't see so I'll do so publicly.

Please send me your direct email contact info, along with your Odyssey's serial number and the dealer from whom you purchased. The best way to deal with this issue now is through our service system. I will make sure it is addressed in a speedy manner.

I would suggest you do not post this info publicly, but instead send it to me privately.
