Convergent Design NanoFlash w/Sony EX3 ??

Plenty of people here, DVinfo, creativecow, etc use the Nanoflash. Like everything there are pros and cons. I'll mention a few cons because there are so few:

CONS:
a) Another form of digital card to buy.
b) Initial outlay for the Nanoflash isn't cheap.
c) Examine your mounting options.

PROS:
1) One touch recording. Start your camera, the nanoflash starts if you set it to timecode trigger.
2) Green screen editing is much easier because color usually changes at edges of things and you want to change the color.
3) Auto back up recordings. If your camera card fails you still have the nanoflash recording and vice versa.
4) Much better handling of multiple small objects moving in the picture (waves, sparks, grass, etc) due to codec.
5) Much better handling of turning motions with the camera due to codec.
6) More accurate colors.
7) Better able to 'save' audio recording at low levels.
8) IMHO the sky looks better.
9) Easier color grading.

If you're just recording a talking head you won't notice much difference. Motion and greenscreen are where you notice the most difference.
