FS7: Contrasty Picture Profile other than the LC709a

Hello everyone.

i used to shoot with Frank Glencairns "G-LOG" on the FS100 when i shot documentaries when there was no time for grading.
It always gave me a pleasing contrasty image with nice skintones and good highlight RollOf.

Now i own a FS7. Always shot in the CINE IE mode with the baked in LC709a Look. Looks good so far, still a little too flat, when there is no grading involved.
The big Issue is, there is no custom/Manual White Balance, which is horrible when you shoot under fluorescent light.

Will anyone share a nice PP like G-Log maybe with some testshots? That would be so helpful. Thank you!

If you want to shoot CineEI with a more contrast LUT why not roll your own? You could base it on the 709a LUT but give it a bit more bottom end punch.

Shooting custom mode Slog3 then apply LUT in post which is no big deal. If you're really stuck for time go with a STD gamma or HG when you're working in flouro.

Personally, I think CineEI with home rolled LUT and knock out any flouro pollution in post is my favoured option ATM but there's so many workflows you can adopt with this camera what you choose comes down to personal choice.

Julian.

You are aware that LC stands for Low Contrast?

First LUT to look at would be the regular 709LUT surely, not the Low Contrast one if you think that it doesn't have enough contrast!

For CINE EI work, look in Cameraman Ben's LUTCalc which makes it easy to create any LUT . If you search LUTCalc here you'll also find "extended LUT's based on LC709A that have better contrast.
However the request was for a Custom Look not a CINE EI look.
