Hi every one . I am getting my DVX 102A(my first cam) soon , and I need ur advise

1-for the mic (mc100g) do I need this one , how can I get a very good quality sounds ,
is the hand mic better cause it is pointed away from the camera man and closer to the scene ?
I mean how can I eliminate the camera man moving sounds ? is it possible without a hand mic ?

2- UV filter ?! is it important to a sunny country like mine ?!

3- magic bullet , do I need it this much , how and why?

4- is it enough to shoot a feature with just one cam ?

Couple of things..
Yes an external mic will generally give you better audio, provided it's agood nic and is properly handled / set up. There are many external mics, be they handheld, a rifle - possibly on a boom, a radio mic, a lapel mic.. good info in the auudio section.

A UV filter can be usefull.. however you neglected to tell us what country you are from.. we can't specify a filter without that info.

go to magic bullet's website and find out about it, se if it's somethign that you think you will need. we can't tell you that.

As for a feature, it's not the camera that makes it, but the crew. This means everyoe from the writer, director, producer.. all teh way down to the editor, publisher, etc.. it's a long involved process that takes lots of carefull work. . The same jobs cna be handled by the same person at times, but the work still has to be done.

Saudi Arabia (very sunny and hot most of the year )

I meant is it enough to get the ultimate filmlook from the dvx it self , or you need the magic bullet to do it and it is very important to this matter ?

thanx

a UV filter might actually be usefull if it's very dry..and dusty/sandy. It'll help protect your lense too.

I'm not goign to coment on the film look.. I'd seen some stuff done with magic bullet but that's it.. i think there are much more important factors to a film look. But i'm t going to enter into that discussion.

Yes it is perfectly logical to shoot with just one camera.. in fact for most indy films i wouldnt' sugest useing any more than 2 untill either the shot very specifically needs it, and more importantly that you are experienced enoguh to make the desicion for yourself. (this is to everyone)
