constant jittering on playback of any tape.

Hi,
I have dvx100BE (got it from B&H, using it in Israel).

A few hours ago I tried to sample a tape to my PC, I was frighten to find out that the entire playback jitters (kinda like dropping frames (but there was none), jumping portions of the image and click sounds from the audio playback).

The tape I was using was pre-recorderd so I thought that might be the problem so I taped some stuff on a new tape but it's the same thing.

I also tried to playback a tape I recorded a few weeks ago and which was fine at the time but the same jittering playback acured this time.

The only thing I didn't try to do is record some stuff on the dvx and playback it on another camera (if it will turn out ok it will mean that I have a problem only with the playback head and not the recording).

I used a cleaning tape (a panasonic one) according to it instrctiond and it didn't help either.

I used the camera for about 235 hours and never cleaned it. I didn't use it under any special conditions (the weather is lovely here...).

So I guess I have a problem, I was hoping you could help me on what to do next...

No, only on playback...

...even of old recordings which were fine at the time.
I also checked playback on another camera - the playback of the new recordings jittered also (which means I have a problem with the recording head), but old recordings didn't (so I also have a problem with the playback head, but at least it didn't ruined good stuff I playbacked on it).
Does it sound like an ordinery dirty heads problem?! (again cleaning tape didn't help).
