considering selling my hvx200 to get a GH2, any input?

Hello,
I recently purchased a close out G1 for photos and completely love the camera. Have been seeing a lot of great footage from the GH2 and I am considering retiring my beloved Hvx for one. I only have a 16 gb P2 card and by the time I get another, there is a good chunk to a new camera. Any input, advice, suggestions would be great. I have a bunch of amazing legacy glass and they will work great on the GH2, I am not that happy with my hvx dof adapter. Thanks a bunch
 
Maybe the better bet would be to move up to the AF100....You should be able to get a good chunk of the purchase price by selling the HVX and your P2 media and DOF adapter. Not saying the GH2 isn't a great camera, but the AF100 is like a shallow DOF HMC150 or HVX200....plus as you said you already have the lenses to go with it.
 
I think I will keep the HVX for now and also just get the GH2

i think that would be wisest. af100, gh2 both great. but unless ALL you shoot is feature type work. neither is good as an ONLY camera. if you do any run and gun or eng type work, you will miss your hvx200 almost immediately.

what DOF adapter do you have? im considering selling my gh2 and going back to an adapter...
 
I would use the gh2 as my main cam and the hvx for wide shots or run and gun, unless someone wants to buy it. Af100 is over kill, If I start making enough money on jobs then maybe, but I usually rent red if I am doing big jobs anyways so whats the point of even buying a af100? I think the Gh2 is better overall, especially when the hack is finished which will happen a eventually. Did an A/B with a Gh2 and Af100, I actually think the newer sensor in the GH2 is better than the Af100, in some respects. I liked low light performance a lot better, and the colors were a bit more consistent. Af100 I think is a bit over priced. If it was $2500 for the body then I might get it. Af100 is a great cam, but I think the Gh2 is more economical, and if I am doing a big job I am shooting red regardless. I have a fixed screen jag35. I Had a redrock and rented the letus for a while, but I actually like the jag better. If you are intereted Pm me, I can let it go for $120 plus shipping, and if you want a fd mount 50mm 1.8 for it I will throw it in for $20

P.s. the hvx is amazing for green screen work. If anyone is curious why I prefer the jag let me know and I will explain.
