connecting dvx100b with original dvx100

it's possible to connect the dvx100b with the original dvx100, right? the 100b has a few settings that the 100 does not, so i'm thinking maybe i can use the 100 for the master... i've never tried connecting them before, and the 100 was used and didn't come with a manual. thanks in advance guys!
 
You can timecode sync the 100B to the 100, but you cannot share scene files across the firewire. That capability is limited to working from 100B to 100B; earlier cameras can't do it.
