Conical adapter for mattebox

Hey there.

I have the Formatt Mattebox and wanted to add the 72-85mm conical adapter so that I could get the stages out past the microphone. However, I must be missing something. I put the adapter on and can't figure out what piece I now need to attach the mattebox to the adapter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the 72mm screw in adapter ring? That's pretty much all you need. I use an 72mm UV filter and the screw in adapter and mattebox.

With 72 adaptor you won't clear the microphone however. There was a post that tell you what you need and what to do. Search.

thanks guys, but I did do a search. I have the72mm adapter to get me out past the microphone...it's a 72mm to an 85mm, but now I can't figure out how to attach the mattebox to the 85mm end. The opening on the mattebox seems to be about 100mm or something close to that...I guess I need to measure the standard 72mm adapter and then add maybe a second adapter.
