Confused on 30P settings

well thought this newbie would try 30P yesterday, shot the games, capturing and rendering today.

don't think i made any headway. more confused as ever.

selected 30P mode in menu. and just shot away. then found that nowhere does this confirm to me that i got 30p footage.

i captured to premiere 2.0 and looked at the properties of avi and viewed lcd when playing nothing.

not really sure if i need to take away a factory preset in the "F" keys and define my 30P, cause when i shut the camera down to change power, i see the 30P goes away.

hate to think i bought this 3K camera to shoot in auto mode.

any help or suggestions.

and yes i am buying the dvx book/dvd

The "30p" goes away because any time you turn off your camera, the scene file settings default to the last saved settings. If you want to keep it in 30p, you need to save the settings.
