Confused in Final Cut with Pulldown/FrameRate!

I have been shooting in 720/30pn mode, and was wondering what setting I need in final cut to view properly. The footage seems to be playing a bit fast, like it is undercranked. I am in the uncompressed setting in Final cut so that I can view it on my SD monitor, but even when I pick the 720/30p preset in FCP, it seems to running fast as well. Does Final Cut automatically pick the pulldown? It seems my final cut always choses the 2:3 2:3 pull down, do I need to manually change it to a different setting? Do I need to convert it to 60p? How do I do that? What pulldown do I need for 30p mode? would it be a different pulldown than 30pn, or 24p? I thought I had a handle on al of this, now it seems I made it more confusing!

First,
Close your current project.
Next do Easy set-up for 720p 30p
Then start a new project.
Then go look at your sequence setting.
It should match easy set-up
Hope this helps.

You can't drop your HD footage in an uncompressed sd timeline and expect the footage to play properly. You need to put your footage in a dvcpro hd 720p30 timeline. hit control-q, select dvcpro hd 720p30, MAKE A NEW SEQUENCE, and then put your footage in there. To see a downconverted image you need a capture card like something from the AJA Kona series (2,3, or LH(e)). They do real time broadcast quality downconverts.
