Conform 2 sequences

With Media Composer, is there any way to have a duplicated sequence be auto conformed to match a new edit?

I duplicated a sequence, then added in the mixed audio, but had to cut it down. I would like to apply the same edits to a version of the sequence that has all the audio split ( before the 2 track mixdown ).

You can copy/paiste from sequence to sequence if that's what you're asking.
As long as you kept the unmixed version you can always utilize elements from it.

yeah, I figured I could do the mark clip/go to mark in/matchframe...

but I wish there was an auto-conform. ugh

:(

You lost me on the word 'conform', so Im trying to guess your question a little. When I need to mix down audio I simpley add more audio tracks. I leave 1-4 alone, just turn them OFF, then on 5 & 6 I have the mixed down audio. Hope this helps, or be more specific on what your trying to do.

I did the mix in Pro Tools HD and brought back a 2 track mix . i duplicated the sequence and dropped in the mix. Killed all the other audio tracks. Made a DVD. Producer wanted it cut down, but no time to go back to Pro Tools via AAF, so I did a quick and dirty edit with the full mix. Now the budget has opened up and we can do a proper cut down, but all I have is the shortened sequence with the stereo mix, and the longer versions with all the individual audio tracks. I want to auto conform the longer sequence to the shorter one, but have the individual audio tracks. I have found out it is not possible. I will have to mark each clip, go to the head of the clip, match frame in the source window and overwrite the orignal audio for each clip on individual tracks.

OY Vey!
:crybaby:

Thanks for the clarification...that is a head scratcher! Seems like there should be some automated way to do this, but I think your right, just a lot of manual editing.
