Concert footage - looking for feedback

I filmed a band back in June who were looking to have their performance edited into
a music video. They could only afford one camera, but had two dates I should shoot on.

The first date I filmed from a fixed location, the second I went hand held and shot from
around the stadium. The goal being to make the edit look like a multi-camera shoot.

This was my first stadium concert shoot and I welcome your feedback, both on the
cinematography, audio and the editing. Did I achieve the effect I was going for?

It was shot on a DVX100b 30p. Look forward to your comments.

Best.

Pretty good footage, nice looking for concert footage (since its usually pretty dark) im guessing you used some fast glass with aperature wide open?

What did yo use for the pans? Any type of steadycam?

Nice wide zooming shots to.

I dunno why but the beginning reminds me of This is Spinal Tap

Hi Jon.

Glad you liked the footage. There was a lot of running around so I didn't have much
time to think about the shots. I kept the camera running for the whole performance
so the audio would be complete. There's lots of over-my-shoulder, running footage :)

I just used the DVX100b with its fixed lens, no 35mm adapter. I was wide open on
the wide shots and stopped down accordingly on stage since the lights were really bright.

Pans we're done with a Sachtler DV4 tripod. No steadycam. Wide zooms we're using the DVX's on-board rocker.

I think the editing was very well done in the video. Capturing the whole band was done well since you weren't even thinking about the shots it was edited together nicely and made for an enjoyable music video. Shots behind the band was also done well with the lighting. Great sound quality as well. Hopefully you do more like these.
