computer for editing question

just curious what platform you edit on??
i have PC system right now, bought it 2 years ago but still good on editing quick stuffs on vegas.

right now i'm planning to purchase a new macbook pro which just came out today.. mainly for photography (on location stuffs) and editing videos.

curious to see what you guys are working with
and if i want to edit full HD quality is macbook pro enough??

I own dvx100b but just in case for HD stuffs..

You will love your Mac Book because it's not a PC, but I would recommend you get the fastest and most powerful computer you can. I use a Dual Core Mac pro at work, and I just got a Quad Core for here at home. Without going into all the details, I will say the power is a must. I am not rich, but I know that I will do what I can, by saving in other areas, to have the best computer.
