computer build for AVCHD/Adobe CS4

i7's are amazing. I'm waiting on the 32nm revision (and possibly 6 cores) before building a new machine, but you can't go wrong with what you're looking at. I have also been very pleased with Nvidia. They run 3dsmax well :)
Also storage is really cheap, so get lots of it! I have a drive I use for my projects, a drive I use for archival, a drive I use for a scratch disk, an external I use for backups...

Nice! today I finished building my new computer, i7 920 2.66GHz, 6gigs of ram, gtx260 and win7. I must say that I'm impressed by the rendering rate (Ihaven't yet tried transcoding time...but I don't really transcode now...)

Before changing the computer I did some renderings in order to campare it with the new system. It was a 1080 25p 1 hour long video rendered to a PAL mpeg2 stream.

these are the results:
xp old system: 6h 04 minutes and 18 seconds
Win 7 old system: 5h 24 minutes 9 seconds

(I suppose that the diference here is due to win7 being 64 bits.

Win7 new system: 1h 53 minutes 22 seconds......(Huge difference I would say.....at least for me).

I didn't try the new system with xp because I will continue in win7 (I love being able to use 6gigs of ram and not being limited...)

EDIT: I tried transcoding a short clip, it was faster than realtime (I could see the image goingas if it was speeded up in the preview window).

Adobe cs4 with the new update palys the clip in realtime, and I can scrub, not through every frame but I can... (i think that here my bottleneck is the hard drive).

PD: I forgot to mention that the previous system was a quad core duo 2.33GHz with 4gigs of ram and a ati radeon 3680hd.
