Compression Question

I just finished editing my video from Prague ( this isnt the topic about burning taking 12 hours + ) and i want to compress it to show it to you guys but i dont want to have a huge file type taking up all my bandwidth

it is about 23 minutes long.

Now hwat would be the best ocmpression keeping as much quality of picture and sound as possible, maybe lowering the resolution but keeping a 23 minute video around 50 megs. or less? possible?

if not, if its 50-100 megs, is ther a site i could host that shiz on? I am dying to show you all,.

oh, and im using premier pro 1.5

Consider reducing it to 320 x 240. Do you need to show all 23 minutesor do you want to display a trailer or snippets of the finished project.

Site: Depends on how public you want and how long you're going to keep it up.
There are different free sites (youtube, etc) but not sure what limits they place.

Can't wait to see it. Honestly I think I would watch 23 minutes but not shrunk to 320x240. sorry, no help from me....lol :)

And MP4 derivative codec will compress the most at a given quality: H246, XVID, DIVX.

However, if you wanted to go a more "traditional" route with QuickTime or Windows Media, you're going to need to cut the resolution in half (320x240) and work with a 256K or 384Kbps bitrate for audio/video to come in under 100 Mb. At those bit rates, the compression will be noticeable but still watchable -- a typical Internets video...

windows media is not too bad for high compressions.
you can give it a quick try importing it into windows movie maker and exporting it as .wmv 150, or 350kbs. see what u get.
obviously it's possible to calculate the needed bitrate to get the desired file size.. but i dont feel like doing maths now..:)

but wait, you guys know how to do stuff i dont.. help! lol, dont lazy out, i dunno what to do!

k im rendering it with the adobe encoder in pp1.5 doing it a mpeg-DVD

once this saves as a file, what is the proper way of burning it to DVD so that my dvd player can play it? Do i have to reopen the file in a timeline and export - to DVD?

or can i just burn that file to dvd with nero?

i tried the trial but it wouldnt install, i would like to try the full but im not payin for it, dunno anyone whos got it and im pretty sure this kind of topic is not supported in thi forum so we wont go there.

but anyways, what do i need to do from there?
