Compressing for upload

Not really, no one seems to be helping me with this question. So I thought I'd grab your attention. I've tried multiple times to upload a video I compressed in Quicktime onto this site. Its a 2 minute clip that was shot in 720pn 24fps. It takes forever then tells me I didn't select a file when I did?? Why?? Can someone also tell me what the best compression settings are for the best possible quality when shooting 720pn 24fps. Thanks.

I went to member upload center on this site and picked the file I wanted from my hard drive. It took very long and told me something like be patient uploading in progress and when it was done it just said file not selected? Let me know if there is a way around this. Thanks guys.
 
is it bigger than 1mb? i thought so. there is a file size limit for the member upload center. as well as a file type limit -- it's really just for framegrabs. quicktimes will need to be hosted elsewhere.
