Compositing for RED One project

Just finished doing some compositing and VFX work on a friends short film.
Thought you might find this clip entertaining. They kind of screwed me by
shooting it with no practical effects and no tracking points. So I was only able
to do so much, but for what it is I think it came out well.

Funny
It reminds me of.... me and not the compositing part.
Personally with comedy I don't mind if things look a bit off. It's comedy.
I also thought it would be funnier if he got caught it the act. Cause that is what happens to me ! My wife would say "Everts why are you touching the cow?" :)
Nice work.

PS : NO I dont have cows .

Really nice! Hey could you share some tips on the scene when dude gets shot int he head and smears blood on wall?

AE 7 ?

I thought the music went well with it!!

Thanks greeches. I used AE CS3 for the VFX work and the blood/muzzle flash effects elements are from Video Copilot. The debris in the scenes where from DETfilmsHD.com
The scene in the hallway was interesting cause the shot was done without any tracking markers placed on the actor. So, I had to keyframe that shot frame by frame. The blood elements from Video Copilot are great.

I thought I recognized the blood spurts!!! You should do a tutorial on how you did the hallway scene!!!! *wink* *wink*

I'd love to see it

p.s. I don't know if the filmmakers noticed the reflection in front of the actor when he's standing at the john...but I hope you didn't have to do any compositing there. ;-)

Thanks guys.
Sean90921- its funny that you say that. That shot had quite a few takes, at first the actor was just standing in front of the toilet and didnt even unzip his fly, then after a few takes the director noticed that you could see that the actor wasnt doing anything in the reflection. So they had to redo it and have the actor at least begin to prepare himself for taking a leak.

I laughed out loud. Hilarious! The part where he gets caught and performs a quick (but extremely lame) judo chop was awesome.
Many of the fx were rock solid.
