Composite?

That's right, I still have a couple of clients that ask for 4:3 DVCam and I'm wondering whether I'd get a better product coming out of the RCA composite video output on the back of the AF or if I should go HD SDI out to a Blackmagic SDI to Analog mini converter before going into a DVCam deck. Any suggestions?

why not frame for 4:3 and capture in HD, then edit, and output as SD to deck?

would have to say this is the way to go - why limit yourself at capture? Over capture and deliver a downconvert; then you'll have HD source footage when they inevitably ask for it in the future.

I'm surprised that anyone would willingly use Composite video as we go into 2011...
