Composite video output, DV port problem

I am having a problem with my DVX100P. One day, while the camera was connected to a monitor, the composite video output just quit. No one touched it or anything. The DV port quit working as well. However, the S-Video port and the analog audio ports DO work. And to add to the wierdness, the composite input DID work for a short time, now it doesn't work either. I've tried re-setting the camera and the menus and nothing seems to work. I called an authorized repair facility and they said that it might be a bad VTR board (costs $850 part + labor). Hopefully it's covered under warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?
