Composite using DVX, Vegas and Photoshop

That's really tight, man. The compressed version looks awesome. How does it hold up in full res? You've inspired me to get going on some of those new Photoshop tutorials.

when i first watched that i didn't realize what you were doing, then i actually read the headline and was asking myself that was a composite?

you sure tricked me, nice one man...very nice.

That is a great composite. The link the other day to the high end matte painting shop inspire you?

Great work John! Keying the sky is a great technique! It's soooo much more realistic than compositing people (in DV at least).

I'm looking forward to this upcoming fest =D

Nice.

Can you try adding a small crane move to show off the paralax and have the lens flare move?

Bigger version would be great. Want to see more. :-)

Looks nice. Two comments:

1) It looks like you have two suns going on there? I realize they're both artificial but one seems to be more artificial than the other.

2) The trees need a bit more cleaning up. They should have soft edges all around them, light wrapping around.

And one bonus comment:
When you cut to the zoom shot, why don't you start the zoom within your composite and then transition to your live shot? That would sell it.
