Composite output repair

A friend of mine asked me to look at her DVX to see if I can do a quick repair on it rather than her sending it in to a repair place just yet. I was looking for some advice so I know if I am even going to be able to do the repair.

The pin from a composite video out is stuck in her camera. I don't know if I am going to be able to get a pair of pliers small enough to pull it out from inside the jack. Is it possible to remove the part from the body and push it out the jack from the other side?

there are other ways without taking apart the camera. if you can get a magnet strong enough use that but i doubt it.

also, get a toothpick, break it in half and put of super glue on the end, stick it to the prong, let it dry, then pull it out.

If you could find a magnet strong enough to pull it out (which I doubt) you wouldn't want it anywhere near your delicate camera. But your glue/toothpick idea is perfect!
