I am preparing to shoot a short in the first weeks of April called "Plummet."
I need a talented composer to write an original score for the film. It's a decently ambitious project and the composer chosen will be paid for their time and effort.
If you are interested, please send an email with your name, a resume of your works and links or attachments of a few of your pieces you like the most to plummet@perennialmedia.com. I'm looking for someone who will enjoy the music they are composing, not composing it as a favor or as a paid job. It's not like a whole bunch of money, but it isn't really small change to a low budget film either.
As of this time, I will not tell you the story or direction of the piece, but I will give some examples of scores that interest me.
-Pan's Labyrinth- the mystical tracks.
-Phone Call by Jon Brion from Eternal Sunshine - iTunes Preview
-Mrs. Soffel by Mark Isham - iTunes preview
-Hands in Plain Sight by Mark Isham - iTunes Preview
-Slower songs by the band Mae- specifically like those songs found on the Desitnation: B-sides album
-Like the opening bars of "Valkyrie Missile" by AVA
