Component to HDMI

Can I convert the component cable that came with my hvx200 so that it can be used with the new breed of lcd monitors that only have hdmi/composite inputs?

Thanks for any help on this matter.:)

You can probably buy something that will convert component to DVI/HDMI, but it won't be a simple cable conversion. If you want to use composite, the HVX already has that...

Component is analog, HDMI/DVI is digital...so there has to be a conversion in the chain.

This box will work for ya...but may be a bit cumbersome. It doesn't look to large, and the price is right at fifty bucks. BTW, these guys are awesome...so if something better exists, they'll know about it (and if it works)

You can also always go with a Matrox box if it's to your computer for capture, etc.

thanks for the help guys...I guess I'm just gonna have to find a lcd monitor that has component inputs, but I really wanted to use the Marshall M-LCD7-HDMI-CE6 7" Portable On-Camera Field Monitor ...this kit cost under 400
