Component Out

I just got a smallHD DP1. Brilliant little device, but it seems I have a snag in my plans to use it and test it.

The component output on my camera isn't working. I tested in on my Panasonic BT-LH1700 I have sitting here. The SDI Output worked fine. I went into the AV IN/OUT menu and tried switching the SDI OUTPUT on and off, nothing. I re-spliced the cable and still got nothing.

Questions
1- Has anyone else had this problem?
2 - Does anyone know a place I can order another component cable with that proprietary end on it?
3 - Is there anything else I can do that I may have missed?

I have a call into Panasonic's Broadcast support, and I am preparing to bring the camera in for servicing... But I wanted to check here first to be sure I didn't overlook something.

SDI and component can't be enabled at the same time, so make sure SDI Output is off, and the component cable is plugged in, and the monitor input is set to YCbCr component input.

The cable is used across several models, the HMC150 and HPX170 and HMC40 all use it, I think, so it should be pretty easy to find. Spec-Comm probably stocks them, and any Panasonic service center should have them.

yeah, are you sure the DP1 is set to the right input? the small hd product has its great points. the menu/navigation setup is NOT one of them... it took me a few tries to get the feel for it.

and im having some worry about your term "re-spliced the cable" why would "splicing" come into the process?
