Component Out or HDMI out?

I've been using component out with HPX170 to HD Monitor. Looks good.

I have HMC150; it comes with HDMI out. I'm curious. Would you recommend HDMI out? Good quality? Any problem?

Component is analog HD, while HDMI is digital HD. The biggest difference with analog HD is subject to quality loss over repeat copying.

HDMI is good and lossless, but for HD monitoring you won't notice much, if any, difference. HDMI connections are easier (one plug), but component cables are often more flexable.

I have noticed that some older HDMI capable TV's (not sure about monitors) have noise issues. Probably the Digital to Analog conversion. Newer stuff seems fine. (4 year old sharp aquous 46" - HDMI looks like crap - new sets look great).
