Component cable

Anyone know where I can get a component cable that works with the hvx200 that leads to a head like this?

*edit*
I want a cable that goes from here to there.

I despise the quality I get when using this kind of cable. Now whenever I monitor my videos I use and svideo cable which is better but not what I want. What I need is a cable I can use with my computer without reducing the quality for video capturing using my computer or monitoring. Right now I can't edit any of the videos I capture. I'm using the mini dv tapes right now and do not have any p2 cards. If anyone would like to help me by telling me how I can get the videos onto my computer for editing that'd be great.

If you want to capture HD to your computer, you want to use firewire and Final Cut Pro or some equivalent. Any component, S-video, or composite will require a capture card and will ultimately reduce your quality. Using firewire transfers the digital information directly into the computer.

However, for monitoring purposes, most people use the composite cable (the one you pointed to). But getting a composite to VGA adapter will be expensive, require additional power, and probably reduce your quality to... well I don't know what to, but probably pretty bad.

What is it you don't like about the Component (Y, Pb, Pr) cables? Because odds are it won't be any better with the Composite. Maybe. Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong.

I'm using a pc and would a usb cable work if so where could I get one and how could I set it up to work? If I need a firewire cable where could I get one and how could I set it up to work?

This converter is working well to convert passively the HD analog components colorspace into analog RGB colorspace. (the signal is unchanged).

Using a middle to high end 1920x1200 monitor, you got a cost-effective HD monitor.

The intended usage is to provide a display feature, like connecting the HVX for focus monitoring, by example, or connecting the Canopus NX board HD analog output.

You seem to be confused about capturing your video. Have you read the manual? The D4 component output from the HVX is an analog HD output. It will be a better signal than the S video or composite video output, which are both only SD out. Regardless of this you shouldn't really be using any of these outputs to capture to your compter, you should be using a Firewire cable. Read the section in the manual about connecting to external devices.

Thanks everyone for the help just got my firewire cable today and it works like magic. I'm trying to find a good program for streaming video for monitoring though.
