Is it possible to edit from an external drive (on a mac, FCP) when we offloaded our content through a PC on to a external drive -- it's formatted as a FAT32

Yes, definitely. It's not complicated, it's easy. The Mac will import the files straight off the hard drive, no problem.

Just don't go changing the names of any of the folders; copy each card's "contents" folder and "lastclip.txt" into its own subdirectory and you'll have no problems.

I do it all the time on a 120gb drive formatted fat32 by the actual Mac itself. It appears that WIndows XP doesn't want to create partitions in FAT32 bigger than 30gb. It will however read larger partitions that are already created.

Now the MAC will create partitions larger than 30GB but no larger than 130gb I believe. I have a 120gb so I cannot verify this part.

Good LUck!

In my previouis post I was assuming that you already knew to keep the file structure of the P2 card intact as Barry indicated.
