I'm running xpress pro 4.5

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing (i came from editing on vegas, where i was great at it. Now i'm a little worried.

I can't really find any good tutorials online, and I'm low on cash, so I was wondering if any of you pro's know where a good beginner tutorial is, to introduce me to the program, and the setup and everything. Help would be much abliged, thanks.

If you didn't get an Xpress Pro box that comes with printed manuals, then it should have comes with a CD with electronic versions of the user manuals. I suggest you start there. There should also be a CD labeled "Online Tutorials" or something like that with video and a British guy walking you through some of the simple steps. Avid also offers three training DVDs that are actually quite good.

Avid will be a lot different from the Vegas interface, but if you take the time to learn it I think you'll appreciate it.

Hope that helps.

I'd also go with "Edit Like A Pro With Avid Xpress Pro." Good visual DVD tutorials. Might cost you around $100-$150. I'd even sell you my copy at a discount from MSRP.
