Circumstances dictate that I sell my beloved set of Leica prime lenses, adapted to fit a Canon mount. I was using them on a Canon 5D MKII, but they will fit any similar style Canon mount.
This complete package of Leica R series lenses is an excellent way to have a set of top quality, prime lenses, without taking out a second mortgage on your house. Shane Hurlbut, ASC (in the NoFilmSchool DSLR Video Guide) is quoted as saying “ Leica lenses delivered beautiful contrast and color throughout. They felt the closest to the Panavision Primo primes and had more of a cinema focus throw, even more than the Zeiss ZE primes. These lenses resolve so well on the big screen.”
The five lenses included in this package are the 19mm f2.8 Elmarit - R; the 35mm f2.8 Elmarit - R; the 50mm f2.0 Summicron - R; the 90mm f2.8 Elmarit - R; and the 135mm f2.8 Elmarit - R. All are in very good mechanical and optical condition.
All five of these lenses are fitted with Leitax adapters (generally thought to be the best of the Leica R to Canon adapters.) They are rock rigid, and the lenses snap positively onto a Canon body. They all have Optek rear caps (which positively seal with rubber O-rings, to keep out dust and moisture.) All have standard follow focus gears installed. And, they are all equipped with identical sized metal lens shades, so that you can interchange them on a rig, and use the same size and configuration matte box.
The set comes complete with a brand new Pelican 1510 case, which has roller wheels, and a retractible handle. There is room for a couple of camera bodies, and lots of accessories in the mesh zipper compartments. The padded dividers can be reconfigured in any way that you like, using the Velcro attachments.
This complete package, with 5 lenses, Canon mount adapters, O-ring rear caps, metal front shades, and Pelican 1510 roller case is priced to sell at $3,700. I can accept PayPal payments, and will charge only the direct shipping costs.
