Chrosziel 411-53PK ProMatte Mattebox System has professional features cinematographers request -- including a housing that covers both 16:9 and 4:3, , a French Flag, a 16:9 mask and, lightweight support & center bracket. For both handheld and studio work,.this mattebox will solve the shading and filtering problems previously experienced wusing front-mounted lens accessories on Panasonic AG DVX-100 cameras.Chrosziel's 411-53PK Mattebox system has features which include a housing that covers both 16:9 and 4:3, a French flag, a 16:9 mask, a provision for sidewings and a filterstage for two 4x4 filterholders - one fixed and one rotating. PANASONIC ANAMORPHIC 16X9 LENS ADAPTER AGLA7200G
Panasonic 16x9 Anamorphic Lens Adapter for the AG-DVX100 produces the wide screen effect seen in panoramic movies. Fully zoom-through even at f2.8. It screws into the 72mm threads and has a swiveling base with lockscrew to allow alignment. Some international broadcast channels (including the BBC), no longer will accept 4:3 aspect ratio productions for broadcast. This lens adaptor is designed to map perfectly to the DVX-100A’s CCD pixel array.
CENTURY OPTICS ANAMORPHIC VIEWFINDER CONVERTER VS-WSEP-DVX
VS-WSEP-DVX is a widescreen eyepiece for the Panasonic AG-DVX100 series of cameras. It allows viewing of a normal (unsqueezed) image when shooting with a 16:9 optical anamorphic attachment or the squeeze feature in the AG-DVX100A. The adapter slips onto the camera's existing finder and locks down with one lock screw. This converter is essential for a complete 16:9 solution.
SCHNEIDER OPTICAL FILTERS
The Chrosziel mattebox filter stage supports two 4x4 filter holders, one fixed and one rotating. The ND 3 and CP filters were used once, all others are unopened:

XL2 setup for 16:9 shooting with the Chrosziel Mattebox.
According to 16X9INC, the Chrosziel 411-53PK mattebox will work with the XL2. You need extension rods model number 401-83, 100mm/4 inch extensions, along with another part that Chrosziel is manufacturing just for the XL2. Because the XL2 sits a tad higher than the AG-DVX100, Chrosziel has a new camera plate, model number 401-43-01, which is where the XL2 is fixed to the rods system.With these two parts, you should have a great mattebox, one with a 16:9 guide and compatible with many of Century Optic's lens adapters. Plus, if you already have one for the AG-DVX100/A cameras, you can switch between the two quite easily.
411-53PK and HVX?
I am unsure about the possibility of using an HVX with the Mattebox. Some have said it works using an adaptor plate to go from the square anamorphic to a 85mm ring. This adaptor is included in this kit from Chrosziel.
