I love this camera and I hate to have to sell it but I’m done shooting with it and I need to raise some money for post. It took me a lot of time to get it rigged just the way I wanted it and so I thought I’d offer the entire package for sale before breaking it up. This is a complete shooting package that I have spent many hours customizing to be rigged very nicely and it includes all of the following:
Panasonic AF100 camera in good condition with 84 hours on it.
All original accessories including the original box.
2 Panasonic Gold 16gb SD cards.
Three camera batteries, the original, a genuine Panasonic spare and a generic spare.
A Phottix wide format swing-away matte box with 2 - 4x5.65 rotating filter trays.
A modified Proaim baseplate rail system with an extra long Manfrotto camera plate that allows long travel of the camera to better accommodate different lenses. Please not the custom plate that protects the rear cable ports of the camera. This prevents the rear HDMI port from being damaged. Also the bottom Manfrotto plate for mounting the entire rig to a tripod has been offset to the right side with custom tapped threads to allow for better balance with the IDX battery system.
A slightly modified Proaim Follow Focus.
A generic long lens support bracket.
A Manahttan LCD hi-def 8.9” Panel with the latest updated firmware. Please note that non updated screens must be sent it for a firmware update.
An Atomos Ninja 10bit Recorder with a 750gb and 160gb hard drives.
An IDX battery system with two Endura E7s batteries, a VL2 charger and a regulated 12v battery plate with a custom made camera mounting plate and 5v output jack.
Four Konica MF lenses:
57mm F1.4 prime.
135mm F3.5 prime.
35-100mm F2.8 zoom.
80-200mm F4 zoom.
A high quality Converge AV HDMI splitter.
I am the original owner of the camera and IMO it is rigged very nicely. The IDX battery is mounted where the side hand grip would be and outputs a regulated 12v to drive the Manhattan LCD panel which is big and sharp! I have a modified 5v converter built into the custom made aluminum bracket that powers the HDMI splitter. This setup works great recording to the Atomos Ninja recorder while using the Manhattan Hidef LCD.. Everything is mounted on two Manfrotto LCD ballheads. The head for the Ninja is mounted to a custom bracket.
All the cables are included. The only thing missing from this kit is my Nikon 17-35 f2.8 lens (which I already sold) and a padded 4x5 car case (also sold) which houses the entire rig without having to break everything apart.
The entire rig never gave me a problem. The workflow with the Ninja is easy with Final Cut. The AVCHD provides a nice back up or proxy for dailies. The MFT to Konica lens adapter is a cheap Ebay special and has begun to get pretty loose. I would recommend getting a new one soon. The lenses are sharp and the camera makes a great image.
I would prefer to sell the entire kit as one mainly because I put a lot of effort into getting it to shoot so nicely but I would consider breaking it up if I don’t get any interest. I’m asking $6950 or best offer for everything complete.
Please feel free to contact me for more info or with any questions.
