Compilation of Updated Rules

You can't promote (and that includes showing the whole film) *anywhere* until the DVXFest judging is complete (somewhere around October 2). You can apply to other fests at any time (providing they won't be screening prior to the end of DVXFest judging). Capiche?

Forgive me if this is redundant, but it's late and I've been staring at a monitor 'way too long...once our short is submitted to dvxusers.com for the competition, we can go ahead and submit to other fests, but we cannot promote the piece on dvxusers or another site that might influence the judging on dvxuser.com.

Correct?

I'm not sure what problems you had in the past, but the current free QT player is pretty much problem free. Since they've added the H264 codec, I'm high on QT again. If you don't have a QT player, you may not be able to watch *any* DVXFest films (because of the new film viewing/rating system).

but I hate QT it slows down my pc. I had bad experiences...

I've seen this problem with Quicktime in some of my friends' PC's. I have a 867DP Mac and Quicktime flies on mi system, but trying to show my movies to my friends, it simply runs like an old train. ¿Why? The same happens when using WMP on a mac, no matter the speed of the machine. ¿Do they have a media-war? Looks like every SO slows down the other player... Or maybe it's just my imagination...
Anyway, for this kind of fests, the H264 codec rocks!
