Competition for the Rode Video Mic Pro ?
- Thread starter TheDingo
- Start date
I seem to recall RØDE recently (in the last few months) announcing an upcoming addition to the VideoMic series with one that would have a built-in recorder. Not sure what happened there, but maybe it will be released around the same time.
A little competition is a good thing, though.
That said, an on-camera mic is so rarely useful for good sound that adding a recorder is just making a backup of something that's most often not going to be used anyway.

Maybe as a plant mic if you could hide it from the camera as you are shooting.
