Compatible AC Adaptor for HMC150 (VW-AD20PPK)

Does anyone know if there is an ac adapter available for the HMC150 other than the one Panasonic sells. Sort of like the abundance of less expensive batteries? I did an ebay and google search but couldn't find anything. Can I use a universal adapter? I need to update my firmware and need the ac adapter to do it.

Actually I just thought of something else. Can anyone confirm what the back of this adapter indicates. I've seen it listed as output to the camera at 9.3 VDC, 1.2A. Is this correct as seen on the back? Could someone post a photo?

Here are pictures! I think you can use any power supply only has to be the correct voltage and power. The plug is common, the polarity is in the middle +, outside -.

Thanks for the reply. This confirms the power supply I need. I also received an email from Panasonic support for the correct DC cable that plugs into the ac adapter and then into the HMC150. It looks like a small battery on the camera side since it clicks in place like a battery. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything less expensive so it looks like I'll be ordering this ac adapter plus the dc cable. I wish I could do the firmware update on battery power but the instructions say it's not possible. I don't know if anyone has tried doing it with the battery -- as long as it's fully charged there would be no power loss during the firmware update, which seems to be the main reason for using the ac adapter.

Hm, I'm not 100% sure but I think you can make a DC cable from old battery (if you have), pieces of wire and 5 mm connector.

Actually, I saw someone mention on B&H Photo Video that they soldered their own DC cable from an old battery. But I found the cable on the Panasonic website for about $30, plus I'll need to order the ac adapter for $79 from B&H or Adorama. Not the cheapest option but it looks like if I want to update the firmware I have to spend it. :(

If I knew someone in Phoenix that had an adapter I could meet up and perform the firmware update. Or maybe I could try to rent the adapter and cable from someone on here. But with the shipping back and forth, it would probably be better just to buy it.
