Comparison

[Cason Aycock]

Can somone on this forum that has had both a DVX and HVX give their thoughts about the DVX and HVX quality difference. I have seen both HVX and DVX footage and in some circumstances it looks like the DVX can hold its own against the HVX. Thanks.

I own an HVX and a DVX-100A. The only time the DVX looks slightly superior is 4:3 480i. You may be mistaken that the DVX looks "better" because it is much more light sensitive than the HVX. With equal light levels, the HVX is always sharper and better looking.

don't forget the HVX is 16:9

HVX does 16:9 and 4:3...correct?

Yes, in SD. In HD it's 16:9 only.
