Nice comparison between those 3 camera at high ISO. My conclusion that I wrote in the threat is below. Note that you can download a higher quality video for the next 5 days.

Thanks I downloaded it. I don't know if it is the lighting, but they seem to be better than I thought they would. At first I thought that it was the crushed black, but using Gom player and lifting the lows the noise is still very nice. The D750 is cleaner and in this lighting even the 12800 looks very nice and 25600 usable. The D810 6400 iso still looks good with lots of resolution and very nice filmic noise and 12800 would be usable. The D800 is clearly a step below those two in terms of noise and resolution.

From what I have seen before they all look better by 1 stop from what I thought. In other footage the D750 seemed to have a sharp degradation of the quality between Iso 10 000 and 12 800, did you see the same.

I can also understand why the D810 was chosen for that big studio Australian Movie. It has a lot of resolution and it retains a lot of detail even at high ISO. You can easily shoot at 3200 ISO with a ton of detail. This is enough for any movie.

Not clear what profile and contrast settings are being used. This has a huge impact on these cameras since its clips shadow DR if you record with more contrast. This is where most of the noise live. The D800 can be used with decent DR to about 1000 iso and then you need to be more careful. Judging from these compressed youtube files I would say that the d810 looks like it could do 3200 and the D750 about 6400. I would be happy with 3200.

Also, it is important how good the compression deals with noise, since it can easily smudge detail. The hack 64mbp/s hack on the D800 helped alot for shooting att iso 1600.

Since we're peeping into iso performance, does anyone know which the native/base ISO for these cameras is? I mean all cameras have one, for Canon the suggested ones are multiples of 160.

At first I thought about the contrast in the youtube video but if you download the original he send (I am nit sure if it is still downloadable) I was stunned to be able to lift the shadows and all the details in the lens, the bag and below the table and it looked still very nice. One thing that could be the reason for the high ISO to look so nice is that I think it was shot with natural light and usually at night with warmer light you have to boost a bit more the blue channel which will induce some more noise. But really they look very very nice.
