DVXUser has been a huge help in getting me going on my 1950's sci-fi spoof "Communist Robot Aliens". We wrapped principle photography about a month ago and since then I've been hammering away at the editing. It was kind of a whirlwind experience - I was lucky enough to have a great team put together that really was gung-ho about the concept and helped me along the way. We shot the film in three days and have its debut premiere slated for February 22nd at Atlanta's "Get Connected" event. Below are a few of the production stills, the poster, and our Kickstarter page that features the trailer:

I really had such a blast making this film and I got so much valuable information from DVXuser that aided me in paving the road to a good shoot. Hopefully any of you who check out the trailer and pics can get a sense for the atmosphere on set.

Did you pay enough attention to the sound ? It's to early (literary also for me) to judge, but seeing some pictures and mics and mic-positions...

I'm afraid you're going to be very surprised during the premiere if it's in a "cinema-environment with cinema speakers" room...

Or have you planned doing Foley and ADR ? And was it difficult to find a soundguy ? I notice that it's sometimes more easy to find a airbus A300 that may get crashed (and have 7 of them),
then it is to find a soundguy :-p

Thanks for the input - a lot of the sound will be ADR/Foley; however we did have a dedicated sound man who was a very reliable guy. The sound you hear in the trailer is garbage (it's from my T2i); however it was all I had as he puts in the manhours to tidy up the final audio.

Sound guys really are incredibly hard to find though. I finally found one who is both cool and reliable so I need to make sure to keep him in good graces haha

He's a really cool guy and the reason he's not in most of the photos is because he was/is in remission from having cancer in his legs so typically in between takes he would have a seat and just chill for a bit.
