GH2 Commercial Work with the GH2

I've been searching around the web for examples of businesses that are relying mainly on the GH2/GH13 for client work, and have come up with fairly few results. Of course, there are plenty of businesses that don't share this information, and there are really nice examples out there, but it pales in comparison to the results I've found for people using Canon DSLRS (which is not the point of this thread, both are perfectly good cameras when used by a good operator). For example, most of the results I nabbed on Vimeo were just tests, while a search for "Canon 7D Commercial", returns quite a few actual commercials created with the 7D.

I'd love to hear from members here who are producing most of their content on the GH line, and how your customers have received your work. I think these are incredible tools, and I'd love to hear from people who have put them through real-life shoots.

There's a fellow here named Hunter Richards (IIRC) whose done some commercial work with GH2.I've used mine on a few Sports Illustrated: Behind The Mic shorts and some broadcast segments for CNBC. When it works, nobody really cares what the camera is.

I'm a freelance videographer and the GH2 has been my primary tool since it came out (and replaced my 7D).
But one great thing over current Canon or othe DSLRs is that I can hook mine up to an external battery, utilise longer recording time via hack and use my modified broadcast lenses via ETC (currently I use a Fujinon 7.5-105 f1.4) the GH2 becomes almost like a camcorder - allowing me to shoot things like long events, long intereviews, conferences, news work - without the usual shortcomings of DSLRs.
But totally agree with last two posters, most clients are not video-savvy so they don't care what gear you use...so long as it's good quality!

Do you use those 3D lenses in your avatar on your GH2?

I've shot lots of pickups for docs in the UK, and corporate jobs from start to finish. My problem is client confidentiality clauses, which is probably why you don't see much of this stuff out there.

Use the GH13/GH2 to film news stories for broadcast. Also just shot a 11 min video for a non-profit using GH2 at 720p60. Everyone happy with the results. I just wish there were better options for audio!!

Here are three videos (a commercial/promo, short documentary and a wedding) that were shot almost exclusively on the stock GH2. The clients were thrilled with the results and I really love the fact that all of these do not look anything like the soft Canon footage found everywhere else on the web.

Really nice Jon, the pianist in that wedding video looks remarkably like Jonathan Groff from Spring Awakening/Glee.
