Commercial Shoot with Zeiss 85 and Voigtlander 25mm

These two lenses really shined on the AF-100. We shot this commercial at Balboa Park's international Village area. Really great location. With the shallow depth of field you can't tell it's not a real neighborhood.Simple and clean. The director built that cardboard house, pretty good job on that. after a few hours in the sun and a few light breezes the thing fell down a few times. Pretty funny. We had a good time on the shoot.

I really like this clip. Lovely colours and contrast - basically a really loveely piece of work. I wish some users would get away from the tiring debates on what camera to ue and (FS etc) and just enjoy the 101 and enjoy clips like this which just look fantastic. Sparky

Thanks Sparky. I am enjoying the AF-100 more than any camera I have owned. It inspires me. No camera has done that for me. We all get caught up on the which camera is better debate. I enjoy reading it but I don't get caught up in it. As so many people say, the best camera is the one you have right now.

I feel the same way... it's sort of like the early years of when I was shooting stills... the images are so much more film like and the lenses... wow!
I really liked your news texting spot with the 7-14 (one of my favorites)... can you tell me how you recorded the sound on that one?
Thanks

Hi Erik, hope you're doing well.
Are you using this 85mm lens? Carl Zeiss T* 1.4 85mm ZF with Nikon mount - cheers, Sparky

Thanks for your kind words. I love the 7-14 more than I expected. Its great when that happens.
The audio was rerecorded with a wireless lav.

Yes that's the beauty! AWESOME LENS! Its the ZF not ZF2. Got it used in amazing condition. I don't think it was ever used. Its so sharp and contrasty just love it.

You're using three of my favorite lenses there. The 7-14 is just fantastic, the 85mm ZF is in a class of its own, and there's just nothing like the Voigtlander...
