Commercial I shot

I shot this last week, its a commercial for Bandito's, a bar/restartaunt here in town. It was really fun, a good experience too. We had a professional lighting guy come in, it definitely enhanced the DVX. (some shots were XL1) I didn't do any of the editing, but nearly all the camera work was done by me (boom mic too!). Anyways, it was fun and I got free food and drinks and tapes. Im happy.

yeah, pretty cheesy. but IM hungry.

that is better than stuff made here...i'm going to make it an effort and record a local commercial so you can see what i mean.

"California meets Mexico across from the Texaco" is without question the best logo I have ever heard.Christ and that bar-maid is doing it big time.Infact I going to get a plane over tommorrow to sample the delights on offer here.Nice shots by the way.

What he said minus the flight :)

It looks cool, the shoots with the muchachos they shouldn be more tight, a lot of telephoto, but still I like it is funny and it flows in a certain way

yeah, the subtitles were way off. but i doubt anyone will notice. it was all shot 24p with no color correction.

It looks really pro!
You just showed me the importance of a pro lightning dude.
Tell us a little more about the technical aspects.... settings, speeds, fstops etc! (those outdoor nightshots at the begining...how? )
I think you did a great job

It looks good. It makes me want to eat there. The commercial portrayed a good fun atmosphere. Good job.

I am in the process of trying to get a local Salvadorian/Mexican restaurant for a commercial myself. The place is a lot smaller and not nearly as classy as this place but it gives me a good idea of what to do for it.

definitely looks great for a local spot.

I shot one without a lighting person and let me tell you I could have used one BAD. Not to mention a decent script, a director who had a clue, and the owner of the restaurant not wanting to mention every tiny detail about the place... oh yeah, and "regulars" who could say their line!!!!

But other than that it was perfect.
