Comments on my demo reel

Hey guys, hope you can help me out with comments and criticism for my demo reel. Still needs some work, but I'd really appreciate any feedback you can give me at this point. Note that not all of it has been color corrected/graded (yet... waiting until I finish the cut), and the parts that have are only temporary to give me an idea of where I want to go with it.

Also, the music is temp, I'm terrible at picking music so if you have any suggestions fire away!

I thought that the shot selections that you had were pretty good, however, the way it starts off is a little too slow for my taste. I would go back and find a way to make it pop more because the first thirty seconds or so is what is going to grab employers. I would also trim 19 seconds off of it and have it clock in exactly at 1:30. I like the way you matched up the people in the park playing on their instruments to the song, good job in that aspect.

Also, this is just my opinion and I live in a very conservative area but I would lose the part showing the weed. I just feel that it may carry a negative connotation and employers may judge you based on that. But, that depends solely on where you're applying and the type of atmosphere at their work place.

I'm not the best critic so take it for what its worth. :)

You know what's odd, I didn't figure the *weed* would be a problem (since it's clearly fake weed anyway... it was some of that legal weed you can buy that we used as a prop, to me it just looks like twigs we found in the backyard), and there's enough risque stuff out there in the indie world that no one would really care about subject matter... but you're the second person to make the comment, so maybe I will cut it. I'm not attached to it or anything, just thought it was interesting that people would comment on it.

Also yeah, good comments and thanks for the advice, really appreciate it.
