Comments/critique please!

Hi, I filmed a scene of a short I'm doing... any comments... please?
Do you feel the shots are too shaky? They're all handheld... so yeah... it feels a bit distracting to me... but maybe because I've watched it too many times. I don't know if I should reshoot the scene or just keep on going with it. *sigh*
The story basically revolves around a young boy and the sister he lost...

Thanks!

Love the feel to it (and music)... very peaceful. As far as the shots go, there's some issue's:

1) Stop Zooming! do a push or pull if it's needed. Or shoot the wide shot, then the CU, and cut to it instead of the cheezy zooms.

2) That second shot is way overexposed in the highlights, and is very distracting.

3) There's some REALLY bad interlacing going on. What mode did you shoot in? it very well could be the compression, though...

4) It doesn't look like you were white balanced corretly. Everything has a green tint to it... is it my monitor?

I really think it has potential, and that's why I actually took the time to download it, and give the pointers. I'd love to see more of it as it come's along. Shots did NOT seem too shaky to me, and I think the handheld added to the intimacy of the overall peice.

Nice job.

p.s. What song is that?

i think the hand held was perfect
it was really blown out in the backgroud
it needs to be deinterlaced, that drove me nuts. looks like you either shot in 24p and captured wrong and/or have it in the wrong timeline

maybe you should reshoot it to get rid of the blown out stuff.
