Coming Correct - Atlanta Independent Comedy Feature

Congratulations!

We're LABELMATES!

Pretty cool.

Yep! that we are. I've got some more stuff this weekend I have to finish up - it's not much but it's a little work. Then by end of the month send over the final vid and hopefully by Oct 5th I can move on comfortably.

For anyone willing - please check out this Test Video. I just put up a test video here https://vimeo.com/49548632 password is "green" (no quotes)

My next project will probably be a sci fi movie so I'm starting to test out FX. The clip of the young lady was taken with a Canon 7D for another peoject I was working on and the 3D backgrounds were found online. I tried to find an images that could represent a scenario for the movie, since we haven't started making 3D backgrounds for our plates yet. I added some other effects to try and macke the scenes fit together. I'm not new to compositing but I know there could be some ideas out there that could help. I know her hair is a little blippy because of the 7D.

Just let me know if you think it looks okay or not and any notes you may have. Thanks

Coming Correct should be done. Last night I 2-day'd the last of the paperwork to Lionsgate. Not sure when the movie will be released on VOD/DVD/Cable etc but I'll let everyone know when that happens. Now I'll take a few days to clean up other things before starting the next script. I'll try to let everyone know about the Dist Process, which was very different this time from when I Dist with Maverick Ent 10 years ago. Grindstone/Lionsgate made me create Closed Captioning for the whole movie. This process took about 30 hours of time and was extremely tedious. So for anyone thinking about new dist, have this in the back on your mind and don't wait til the last minute. If I hadn't gotten on it early, I would have missed the deadline.

Anyhoo, I learned a lot from this process. Going from my 24 Diary concepts to making a movie, then remaking the same movie, then adding some Celebrities to that movie, to finally getting a deal for the work. It was a 5 year education for me and I've definately changed my views on many things and learned so much. But to all that are reading, one thing stays the same. Get out there and make your movie! Never Give up - Never Surrender!

Trailer:

Well 6 months later, I can offically say the movie is coming out! Yay! It has a new name though "Baby's Mama Club" so I guess I had better update all my links and websites. I'll let everyone know when a trailer is up. I just found out yesterday about everything.

Meanwhile I may start a new thread. I've been working on a novel and will be shooting a short to help advertise for it.

But for right now everyone get ready to see this project - "Baby's Mama Club!" LOL

Wow. They always change a movie's name. Guess they feel like they make it their own if they change the name. What's the box cover look like now?

Congratulations.

Thanks. Dawn is on the cover with Miko and Tommy. They made it look like Dawn doesn't know who her child's father is. Kind of mirroring a "Maury TV Show" type feel. I guess the marketing team thought it was a better move to go this way. Unfortunately it means all the accolades we received were lost in the changing of the name.

hurray! thanks for sharing your journey in creating this!
If you can learn anything from my ramblings - I say cool. Thanks for stopping by the thread. I'll be starting a new one soon. But overall it was a good experience to again go from script to festival screen to distribution. I keep learning and growing. And I think that's always the best thing.

It's good that the film is getting to the light. Most people only hope for it and continue to hope after years and years. Definitely sounds like plenty of things have changed with distro. I'm sure the changing of the name and/or packaging can be disturbing at times but I'm sure you've seen that before. I hope to check it out, and/or buy a copy, on DVD.

Tieuel Legacy! Motion

Thanks, it was a monumental effort and a great learning experience. I think the overall movie is the same, just the name and the cover have changed. The trailer is below

REMINDER - Get your copy of Baby's Mama Club (i.e. Coming Correct) next week on DVD! Walmart / Amazon

Yeah, consistently in Brandsmarts and Fryes...sporadically in Walmarts (usually rural areas).

Well that's cool. I'm just happy it's out there for everyone to SEEEEEE! LOL I think I told you I checked out "Step Off", pretty cool beans. I'm looking forward to "Blackhats" too. Also R.L. Scott who used to live in Atlanta (Not sure if you know him or not), has a new movie trailer out on Youtube "Call Me King". It looks pretty good.

It makes me proud of all my ATL Film Folk! I can't wait for you to see the new short we're working on. I'll start putting up some BTS pretty soon. But it's for the novel. And I must say I'm grinning just thinking about it. LOL

This was a really funny movie. It looks like it was shot in Atlanta, GA. It keeps you on the couch with
the different characters and their separate stories/mini adventures that all comes together at the end.
