So it must be a new processor installed in to the camera with this and 4K 240fps, don't you think?
Now if they could do the end trigger method of recording HFR like on the FS700 I would be impressed.

Yes I think something's being upgraded, I don't think it's just a paid unlock feature anymore.

I think it's a new R5 with some processor built in and it will cost $$$.
Still nice to see Sony is not forgetting the CineAlta cameras and upgrading them. With 4k HFR I can't want much else to be honest. With that and a new viewfinder it would be near perfect.

Yes my apologies, 120 fps in 4K. I need some sleep.
That's no worries
But I think 4K 120fps is possible with current internals. Even FS700 can do 4K 120fps bursts.

Everyone remember too, the F55 can already do 360fps…. but needs the CA4000 4K fibre transmission camera adapter, BPU-4000 4K base band processor unit, and SZC2001HD Software (installs on BPU-4000).
Because the bottleneck are cards not fast enough. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if that "new accessory" would be new, faster cards.
