Coming back to Panasonic. Should I get the AC90 or a used HMC150?

The HMC150 uses the same batteries as the AF100, and the AC130/AC160.

The AC90 is different, it uses the same batteries as the DVX100/HVX200/HPX170.

Hard to comment when I don't have an AC90, but not a bad idea to consider the AC130 or AC160. After all, if you lease it, the extra amount per month is not going to break the bank. Many of us keep our cameras for 5 years so you might as well get something that has the range of features you think you will be needing.

What I lilke about my AG-AC160A - super smooth zoom, on camera ND filters (but, a pain to have to change the setting manually - I would like to be able to do this from a remote). And, the 160 has SDI out and VFR (but I have yet to use either).

I don't think the OIS on the AC 160A is as good as the one on the AC 90 (newer technology), and the gain, well, I hate to go away from 0 db, will do 6 db in a pinch and if I have to go to 12 db, I resign myself to ending up with noise.

What are good companies to lease from? I saw that B&H does leasing, but it doesn't sound like it's a key part of their business.

Where I live, there are all kinds of leasing companies, they are detached from equipment retailers. You may have to have a registered business to qualify for a lease.

Barry could you expand on this battery thing, my AC130 uses the batteries which came with my two HMC150 and the extra ones i bought for the HMC150s, but the original battery which came with AC130 does not work in my two HMC150's would you know why this is happening?
