How can I make more comfortable fit fs100 to tripod . Adapter is not in one line with bottom of fs100 and its make harder to fit and remove from tripod . I hope you know what I am talking about .Sorry for my English .
Yeah, this frustrates me as well. I think we need something to go between the plate and the bottom of the camera so the LA-EA2 clears the tripod. I don't like having to take it off just to take the camera off the tripod.
Is anyone can confirm ? Manfrotto 200PL can fit to 701 hdv video head ? I am thinking to attach 501PL plate to fs and 200PL to la-ea2 . Everything in one line and the same level . I do not want to attach 501PL plate to fs and la-ea2 because does not allow me change quickly lens A-E . I know there is many way to support la-ea2 but I am looking for the most light way . I just do not want to add another extra weight
Please, I appreciate that.
i have WestsiceAV's FS700 bottom plate / shoulder pad / 15mm rods on both of my FS100's.... they do tie the adpt and camera together safely, it's one min to slack off the hex nuts to change adpts, but it does have to come off the head to do so - by far the best answer i have seen to keeping the lens + lens adpt + camera mount in one plane and suported well enough to not have concerns
i have the same problems as urs.. sometimes i even put on Monopad, and, after u swith the zoom ring often, the LA-EA2 inside the screw is getting to loose.
because we always use force on the lense, left and right, but all the force go to the LA-EA2, then the screws get loose~
hope to get better answer...and, pics to show
Its because the 501/577 plate only goes in rear wards?
If that is the case if you have a 577 plate you can take out the brass bits (with an allen key), or with a 501 style head you can shave down the little nodule with a file
then the camera goes in fore or aft
Yes you lose your safety catch - but I hate the safety as it means you often need three hands.
