Is this the first or second version? What condition is it in?

[jimmiesner]

This is the first version. These things are built like a tank and it is in good condition. Minimal wear and tear.

what's the difference between the first & second version?
What size battery and how old is the batt? Still hold a full charge? Batt from Comer also?

Also any problem with batteries fitting inconsistently and going on and off?

Thanks
