Comedy Shoot for Sketch Group in NYC

I know a sketch group here who wanted to start shooting some of their sketched as shorts. So they asked me to direct/DP/light/etc them. Here are a couple of grabs from tonight's shoot. They are noisy as heck in the dark areas, but we are going for gritty cop drama anyway, and I am going to dirty the images up even further in post, thus wasn't too concerned about it.

These honestly look like blown up MiniDV stills to me. Are they just very very compressed? What camera settings did you use?
